The introductory Citizen Science training with François Jost, Project Officer at the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA), took place on 11 September 2026.

The first confirmed online RE4GREEN session, Citizen Science, Ethics and Sustainability, shared through ECSA, is scheduled for 2 November 2026. The session will explore how research ethics and sustainability connect with citizen science and participatory research. Topics include environmental and climate justice, planetary health, inclusive citizen science, and the research practices and values that support responsible collaboration.

MCSA’s participation and capacity-building efforts involve Love Malundo, Chairperson of MCSA; Davina Hang, Grants and Communications Lead; and Jones Danquah, Deputy Chairperson, together with François Jost from ECSA.

A further November session remains tentative and subject to confirmation. Together, these sessions support capacity building for inclusive and responsible citizen science, strengthening collaboration between ECSA and MCSA.
